Thoughts and Reflection

Is this the icons of Malaysia? I explore this question in the very beginning of my study. I did this poster for my Graduate Research Conference in 2007, thinking that Malaysia might need a branding work on, without realising the discoveries that was going to experiences through this process. That was my very first design project for this PhD. Before I started my exploration, I sketched (kiddies styles) of icons that I thought have possibilities to be explored in representing Malaysia. In the presentation, I talk about how each of these icons contained nostalgic memories to many Malaysia, and how it connect each one of us together. That was before, I learned…I discussed and reflected about this experiences and learning process that I discovered through doing this project in one of my PhD’s chapter.
